MagicEye/IO IR Link Intermittent Since April 2014 EPG Update

      Hello,
After the April 2014 EPG Update I immediately noticed that my MagicEyes / IO IR Links are not working too well.

I have a powered distribution amplifer in the loft which disitrbutes RF2 to several TVs around the home, everything worked fine until the update but since then the Sky boxes will only respond to remote button presses 5-10% of the time, the same problem exists at all TVs. Nothing has changed with the setup, the picture quality hasn't suffered and the power LEDs on all the IR receievers are steadly lit.

      What could cause this issue?

      Best Regards,
      Warren

After any update it's wise to reboot the Digibox. Try that before fiddling with anything.
Also think about anything you changed at the time of the update. Did you move anything or touch any cables? Did you change a bulb or add any new equipment?

Thanks, I'd already tried restarting/reconnecting everything.

After further troubleshooting, it appears the fault is actually with the Power Supply on the distribution amplifier in the loft.

As I suspected. Purely a coincidence.
The power supply should be easy to fix, if internal, or replace, if external. It's usually just a faulty capacitor.
