      Why won't my 2tb box update to latest epg

      My old sky plus hd box used as multi room in bedroom updated weeks ago to new epg yet after about a dozen attempts to manually update new 2tb box in living room it has not updated .... Any ideas ... Thanks

      Yes. Leave it alone

      The updates are done in batches. Your new box hasn't had its turn yet. The update isn't on the DR stream yet so you can't manually update.

      No, right across the model range - maybe because otherwise customers might say (with some justification) that Sky favoured new customers.

      Even within the same model designation there can be multiple hardware revisions, each of which may throw up issues that others don't so this sort of update is not a piece of cake. My understanding is that if they have identified a model/revision that has shown the occasional problem then they are done in smaller batches and towards the end of the update cycle. But details of the roll-out are next to impossible to find out in advance, even for the majority of CS staff and managers. They just get told what went out the previous night.
