      Recording from Planner DRX890 to Toshiba DVD Recorder

      Recently I have had issues recording to a DVD-RW Disc..ie Video Records OK but sound volume is poor and tends to completely peter out before the end of the programme.The connections have not changed between the Sky Box..Recorder and TV. Anyone come across this before or can help? Michael

      I would guess that you have connected the two using a Scart lead.

      Could I ask you to double check that it is correctly plugged in at both ends please? It can be quite easy to knock it.

      Records OK but sound volume is poor and tends to completely peter out before the end of the programme.
      I experienced this too with my LiteOn. Any time I tried to record direct to a DVD disk the sound would lower and go out of sync. In the end I had to record first to the HDD and then transfer it to a disk. No problems.

      If this has just started happening to you it could be the disks you are using. Stand alone recorders/players are a lot more picky about what disks they like than a PC based recorders. Try re-using a disk which worked OK previously and if that does not work, have a look at the Toshiba site for updated firmware for your recorder.

      Thanks to Scubbie and Is it me for comments,Scart Leads are secure,so perhaps it is Disk deteriation,so will try others..TKS
