Sky+HD Box Randomly Recording Programmes On Channel 4HD!

I was going through our planner the other day and found 5 or 6 programmes that had been recorded on Channel 4HD that neither the Wife or I had put down to record.

I put it down as a blip, deleted them and carried on as normal. Today I noticed the box has again recorded a programme on Channel 4HD (Jimmy Carr: Making People Laugh), which again, neither of us put down to record!

The only common denominators seem to be the programmes are on Channel 4HD and on between Midnight and 5 AM. The box is an approx. 3 year old DRX890.

      Any ideas?

I believe this was something to do with the recent comedy fortnight on C4. They somehow automatically series linked a load of programmes, so if you recorded one of them then you automatically got loads of other stuff recorded too. I noticed after I recorded "Whatever Happened To Harry Hill" that I got a Vic Reeves show and something else before I nipped in and binned them off!

That could well explain it as I recorded "Boyles Variety Performance" and it seemed to record everything after it. How annoying!

Yes I suppose it could be argued that it was a bit naughty of C4 to foist unplanned recordings onto viewers. On the other hand, it could also be argued as a bit innovative in a TiVo Suggestions soft of way (although we always preferred to turn off TiVo's suggestions!)

I had the same problem. Taped something on the first night, didn't check my sky recordings for a week and ended up with at least 60 programmes.
I've got a lot of deleting to do

Same here, ended up with about 40 programs. Decided to give some of them ago and found most of them to be as funny as a party political broadcast.
