      DRX895 IR sensor issue

      Hi,

      I just received a new DRX895 and there seems to be an issue with the IR sensor. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes it takes 2 or 3 presses of the remote control for the sensor light on the box to light up and take the action. The red light on the remote always lights up on each press and I have tried the remote from my old box and it's just the same so it's not the remote. My old box never had such issues. There is nothing between me and the Sky Box that could interfere with the signal.

      Is there anything I can do or is there a fault?

      Does your DRX895 replace an older STB?

      Reason for asking is that when I first replaced an old Sky STB with the DRX890 Sky+HD, I found that I needed to be more precise with pointing the remote at the box. No more waving it generally in the direction of the STB! The sensor receiver on the DRX890 seemed to be much fussier than the box it replaced. Also seems to be smaller and more concealed than on older boxes. Have got used to it though...

      Yes, it replaced an older DRX model. With that one I could point it anywhere and it would always work. I would have hoped that the latest boxes wouldn't come with a worse sensor. Progress!!

      I have moved the box higher up in my cabinet and so far it seems to have improved things
