Amstrad DRX780UK - Playback & Live Pause Problems
Hi
I have a Amstrad DRX780UK which i upgraded to a 1TB hardrive.
The box is 2 years old.
Over the past week i have had some playback and live pause issues. Basically:
- when i use live pause and then press play to continue viewing playback is "very" jerky and stutters before coming to a hault completely meaning i have to give up and watch a live feed.
I have performed a system rebuild, system reset and a forced software update. The problem still appears to exist.
Any ideas???
I am in a position to upgrade to the Sky 1TB 3D box as part of their £49 offer, however, i would prefer to avoid signing up for another 12 months.

Sounds like a hard drive fault, possibly also a capacitor problem on the PSU. There's not much else to try, unfortunately.

Just a small note:
Should you decide to take the upgrade option, don't let the Sky Engineer take away your old drive. You could see if you can copy the contents from the 1TB drive to the new 1.5TB drive using mrmt32's ExPVR software.

Re: Amstrad DRX780UK - Playback & Live Pause Problems
There may be some corrupt sectors on the HDD or just general file corruption. I'd try a re-format and start from fresh with it.
It's uklikely to be a power supply issue as it's not common to see this on the Amstrad boxes.
