Re: Recording without interrupting what you're watching
Somebody on the Sky Help Forum has just come up with a post saying he cannot stop an existing recording using the red R record button. No System Details mentioned, but I'm beginning to think it's specific to certain Box and EPG Version numbers.

Re: Recording without interrupting what you're watching
Not a lot, unfortunately. You've tried everything there is. It's obviously a software fault, as it has already been reported by others over recent months on the Sky Help Forum. Looks like nothing's been done about it, so you could always phone Sky and haggle for another box.

Re: Recording without interrupting what you're watching
If it's SKY Software problem why only some of us affected. My friend is not getting this problem, i have been around and checked it out myself?

Re: Recording without interrupting what you're watching
Maybe it's only certain box Model, Version, and EPG Version Numbers that are affected. I really have no idea.

Re: Recording without interrupting what you're watching
Maybe you could try your remote on your friends box, or his on yours, just in case it is some incompatibility between the controller and the box. I know this is unlikely but as you have tried everything else, it must be worth a try.

Re: Recording without interrupting what you're watching
A good point about the only thing i have not done, but pressing the "R" button works Ok recording from the EPG. So be very surprised if it's the handset.
This has just ccome back from SKY, I suppose it will come round to that sometime:
Thank you for your email abou,t After following the given procedure not able to record.
As per your email I would only suggest you to book a service call.
In order to book a service call you will have to pay a charge of £65.00 as you are out of contract period.

Re: Recording without interrupting what you're watching
What's the situation if i pay £65 for their chap to come out and he can't do anymore than i have done with the full reset, and it proves to be a software problem as has been suggested.
Is that my £65 down the drain?

He'll just replace the box after seeing what the problem is.
