      No sat signal communal dish

Is it ok to do a lnb reset on a communal dish? A friend told me it wouldn't make any difference due to the size of the communal dish, also I would turn everyone else's sky off at the same time?! (which I find hard to believe but I don't know).

Provided that you didn't make a habit of it, most people would be unlikely to react to a temporary signal loss.

I am assuming that it would interrupt the signal for a couple of seconds at the most.

It would obviously be a good idea to do this when most people are out.

I think if you do an LNB reset it will only effect the part you are connected to. I can't see how it can effect other connections on the same dish. If it is a quad or octo LNB each of the 4 or 8 connectors are completely separate.
