Cannot record from Sky+HD to Toshiba DVD

Hello,
I notice many people are having problems setting up to record to DVD (many different makes) from Sky+HD after changing over fro Sky+.
I have same problem.
I have Toshiba HDD & DVD Recorder, model RD-88DTKB.
Previously I could recrd to DVD from Sky+, but now I have upgraded to HD, cannot even access the DVD Record menu. I can set DVD up to watch DVD's but cannot set up to record.
I have tried many combinations with scarts - any suggestions gratefully received

Not the best of solutions but you could try connecting a coax cable between the RF out on the Sky box to the aerial in on the DVD, then tune the DVD to receive the Sky signal.

You might also want to check the Scart settings in the Sky box. Services>Settings>Picture. Check Scart control is on and set to output RGB. This is how my Liteon is set and it works fine.

After many combinations, and no success, I have resorted to a compromise!
The main object was to be able to record to DVD saved programmes from HD box hard drive.
When I want to record from the HD hard drive, I connect VD to TV, select correct input (HD) on TV, and I can rcord to DVD. A lot of messing around, but at least I can record save programmes to DVD

Ensure that you have the Sky STB plugged into the 'Decoder' Scart socket and make a note which Scart socket number this is.

The TV should then plug into the other Scart socket.

When recording ensure that you have selected the correct Scart input.
