Note that Amstrad SD pictures are generally not as sharp as from the Thomson so, if you notice it, it's not a "fault" that you can cure. It's just a poorer design.
The stuff I had saved can be downloaded from anytime+ so I will go down that line after my box has been changed (which should be in a couple of hours)!

      Thanks for your help.

Sky Engineer has installed a NEW box today.
Don't know if this is common knowledge but he was saying the new boxes are now made by Sky as they have taken over the company that makes the boxes for them (I presume Amstrad)? So from now on all Sky boxes will be the same.
Alot smaller than my old box and very impressed.

lol - yes it is known on this forum that BSkyB bought Amstrad some time ago.

Also with regards to the DRX890 & DRX895, they are a little smaller. The Thomson has a history of PSU problems. Some Amstrad DRX890s & 895s have been known to have issues with the HDMI port, so it is recommended that you don't stress the port by pulling the HDMI cable out too often, and have the cable laid in a manner not to pull at it too.
