Re: 3D Glasses
This is a REALLY important point
I saw the Sky 3D demo and it does look stunning....
...however, I expect my TV (which I bought last year) to last another 4 years at least before replacing.
I'll miss out on 3D for a few years, but when my 5 yr cycle comes to an end 3D TV's will probably be as cheap as "HD ready" TV's are now.

Re: 3D Glasses
I'm decided i'm going to splash out and buy the 65 inch Panasonic 3D TV when it comes out in July and i'm hoping i'll be able to pre-order it. The local store that sells Panasonics are phoning me back on Tuesday, after they have been in touch with Panasonics head office on that day to see if i am able to do that and that store gives 5 year labour and parts on all their TV's.

Re: 3D Glasses
Philips put a 40" set out on the market in the States earlier this year but at $9500 it was alway going to be a niche product. They announced it's discontinuation a couple of month later.
I just hope the sets are more competitively priced if/when they do come to market again. As far as I'm concerned it's a good enough reason not to buy into 3D for a few years.
