Interesting!....Mine is not a Thomoson but a Pace unit connected to a Toshiba via HDMI. I'm a regular watcher of Sky News and this is the first weekend its happend.
My son came up with a quick fix by putting it on pause for just one second and then pressing play...a bit of a pain and shouldn't have to do it.....but hey! at least it makes it watchable.
He's more PC savvy but seems to think its a buffering issue Do these boxes buffer the signal?

If you hit the pause button, then play it would!

Never tried pausing it tbh, will so if I get the change before Saturday.

I also phoned SKY today and the person from the tech team really did not want me to have a new box however I managed to get one in the end (big risk I know!). I was even offered 10 off this month as its a 'known' problem. I also said I would take the 10 discount per month until the issue is resolved to which point they just gave in!
