      Well as of yesterday I'm all sky hd's. Went and did it independently in the end and paid a premium compared to waiting for July, but i wanted to get it all done yesterday.

      So i'm now the proud owner of skyHD with a newly upgraded 1TB hard drive (with my old recordings transfered across).

      ...... and boy is the HD picture on the cricket and golf fantastic!

      not as easy as a sky+ PVR2 box, but okay. You have to be a little more gentler with it and it's not obvious how to get into it!!!

      you don't need any special screw drivers like the PVR2, but there is a nice sticker across one of the hard drive screws saying void if removed and you'd do well to remove the sticker and put it back without it looking tampered.

      Mine is a thomson box WITHOUT the component connects.

      the copy+ software to copy my recordimgs across is easy to use (took 2hrs to copy about 140gig from my old hard drive).

      Hi

      If you have an old package on your subscription, (in my case it was the Disney channel) You would get this error.

      Maybe worth ringing Sky and telling them that you wish to upgrade, but it won't let you. I got put through to the web team and they fixed it there and then. Just explain you want to do it online only so as you can get the credit.

      Also don't forget the credit ain't til 1st July afaik
