Can the Sky+ be put in there. I presume it would need another cable run into the back but that would be covered by the 60? Or would Sky try and sting me for an extra Sky+ subscription?
When Sky install the HD, they should move the Sky+ to the other room for you. And include the wiring in the same price.

As for HD, you will need to subscribe to the 10 a month HD sub, if you want all the HD channels. As for Multiroom, if you already have that, then you won't need to pay any extra. If you don't have that, 10 a month as well.

Do they allow people to buy a hd box themselves and use it or the fta hd channels e.g bbc/c4

You can copy all your recordings onto your new HD drive by using the copy+ (free) software - you do need to take the hard drives out but it is quite a simple job.

just so you know, there is a nice little warranty sticker over one of the screws that you need to remove, so if you do copy across the progs, then your warranty is void (didn't stop me tho).

Apparently if you use a hair dryer you can soften the glue on the sticker and peel it off without damage but I didn't bother. Apparently some have stickers and some don't so it will be difficult to prove either way!

      Thanks everyone for your replies.

Rather than copying and re-glueing etc I will just watch whatever is left on the Sky+ at changeover in the other room

      Cheers,

      Henry

It's the 60 installation charge that I object to when it will take all of 30 seconds to swop STB's.

Can I hope to better these prices and maintain the warranty?
Hi just ring sky on this number 08442414141 option 5 then 3 then 4. Just said I'd heard they were offering 75 +30 for HD fi commit for 12 months and thats a 105 off as i have sky+ to and to ask for sky hd 150 for the box and 60 to set it up for As a existing Sky + punter this way i got the box for 75 and it setup to for 30 so the 105 will pay for the hd channel for the first 10 months and its going in on the 22/07/08
