      Proxy/Firewall Server Settings

      I've got a proxy server running and my Sky Anytime software will not run as it says that I don't have the Internet running.

      Does anyone know what the settings are to:

      1. Make it realise that it should use a proxy server port address (or does it read Internet Explorer settings).
      2. What are the ports I need to unlock on the proxy server to make it run.

      Any help would be appreciated.

      See if this helps Frequently asked questions - Sky Anytime on PC

      Extract:

      In order to use Sky Anytime on PC and Kontiki, the technology which distributes video files, you will need to enable these programs to connect to the internet. Most firewall or internet security software will prompt you to allow or permit the following programs to use the internet:

      * Sky Anytime on PC
      * Sky Anytime on PC (Skyanytimeonpc.exe, UpdateChecker.exe)
      * Delivery Manager (or Kontiki Delivery Manager, or KService.exe or KHost.exe)

      Advanced users: If you have a very restrictive firewall, or a hardware or software router, then you may need to configure these to open certain ports to allow our programs to communicate with our servers. These ports are:

      * Outbound to ports 80/tcp, 443/tcp, 8080/tcp, and 6667/udp
      * Outbound ICMP
      * Inbound to port 8080/tcp

      Possible traffic from the client on these ports (subnet / LAN peering):

      * Outbound to ports 1948/udp, 1949/udp
      * Inbound to port 1948/udp
