...and even more steps to getting rid of Sky Anytime on PC

....and when you've had a play if you decide it's total and utter crap (as I'm sure most of you will) this is how to remove it from your PC:-

How do I remove Sky Anytime on PC from my PC?

To remove Sky Anytime on PC from your PC follow these steps:

      1)Click on the Start button
      2)Select 'Control Panel'
3)Click on the option 'Add or Remove Programs'
4)Find Sky Anytime on PC and click on it
5)Click on the Remove button. This will delete Sky Anytime on PC from your PC.

You may then also wish to remove Kontiki, the secure peer-to-peer technology that distributes video files, from your PC.

How can I remove or uninstall Kontiki from my PC?

If you no longer intend to use Sky Anytime on PC, then you may wish to remove Kontiki. Please note that removing Kontiki from your computer will mean that Sky Anytime on PC can no longer operate at all.

If you decide this is what you wish to do you will need to run a program called KClean. Follow the instructions below to start this activity.

Print out the instructions below and have them to hand while performing this procedure.

You must follow these instructions EXACTLY to ensure that you CORRECTLY remove all components of Kontiki from your computer.
Using KClean.exe to remove the Kontiki peer-to-peer service ('Kontiki') from your PC, will also remove Kontiki from any other programs on your PC that utilise Kontiki. These programmes include (but are not limited to) BBC iMP, 4 on demand, Kontiki Delivery Manager, Cinequest Delivery Manager, AOL Hi-Q Delivery Manager, Palm Support, and the Open Media Network. Once you have used Kclean.exe, you will need to delete and reinstall these programs to continue using them.
By downloading KClean.exe, you acknowledge that Sky is providing KClean.exe on Kontiki Inc's behalf, acting as Kontiki Inc's agent. You also acknowledge and agree that Sky will not be responsible or liable for the fitness for a particular purpose of KClean.exe, or for any loss or damage that you suffer as a result of your use of KClean.exe.

1)Exit all documents and programs before you begin.
2)Download and save KClean.exe to your PC (for example, to the My Documents folder).
      3)Locate and double-click the KClean.exe program.
4)You will see a security warning message - click 'Run'.
5)KClean.exe now opens, displaying any programmes you have installed that use Kontiki.
6)If Sky_prod is displayed you should remove Sky Anytime before continuing. If any other programmes are listed, continuing with this process may result in you losing any content that was downloaded from that programme. If you are happy to continue, click 'Continue'.
7)An information box will then be displayed. Click 'Yes'.
8)A further information box will be displayed. Click 'OK'.
9)Wait a few moments while the components are being removed.
10)A confirmation message appears, stating that KClean completed successfully - click 'OK'.
11)In a few cases, KClean.exe cannot complete its actions, and you will see an error message. If this happens, restart your PC, then repeat steps 1-10 until KClean has completed successfully.
12)If you have already used KClean twice and the confirmation message is still not displayed, you may have other programmes installed on your PC that use Kontiki (these programmes will be displayed in the pop up box in Step 5). In this case, remove any other programmes that use Kontiki and run KClean again.
