      windows 10 64 bit ultimate V SkyGo [cannot view since update from Windows 7] 2016 ISSUE

      I note that there was a post on this subject in August 2015 which was answered with a fix viz Uninstalling and reinstalling Silverlight? Which appeared to work for some who had an error message that appeared. I do not get an error message,I get nothing,just a blank screen.Yesterday I spent an hour,trying to get Skygo to work with a Sky Livingstone Agent who literally tried every Sky remedy/fix to no avail.The problem has been passed on to the Specialist Dept that deals with it.I have not heard back from them yet,but I am wondering if there are others out there who have still not been able to get SkYGO to run on Windows 10 ,even though it ran well on Windows 7! I have this installed on a Desktop PC which doesn't have any issues with the AMD CPU or AMD Graphics card installed on a Gigabyte Motherboard.
      I am seriously thinking of reinstalling Windows 7! NB I am not a usual Windows user,as I run Linux on my other PCs,but have to keep one PC running Windows to watch SKYGO as SKY doesn't support LINUX.
      Any comments or Feedback on this issue would be much appreciated.

      Hi thomastt37,
      Am not sure if this will help you as I have used up my full quota on SkyGo, so cannot check.

      Are you aware that SkyGo, and many other applications won't work on Chrome or Edge browsers as they no longer support java or Silverlight.

      There is a java workaround for Chrome which should work with Silverlight too - Using the chrome browser go to the Chrome webstore and search for java - then select the extension IE tab and click the blue box to add it to Chrome. Now load the SkyGo page as normal and click on the icon which looks like a lower case E inside a circle, next to the star icon in top right corner of the browser, and hopefully it will work.

      If using the Edge browser click on the settings tab in top right hand corner (it looks like 3 dots) then scroll down to the Open with Internet Explorer option and press the enter key.

      Alternatively use either Internet Explorer or Firefox 32 bit --- the 64 bit version of Firefox doesn't work.
