      Sky Go and Firefox 64bit

Mozilla Firefox is now available in a 64bit version.

Before everyone rushes off to download and then install it, could I please recommend a little caution for now please?

Sky currently require you to use the Silverlight plugin in order to watch their services on-line. The 64bit version of Firefox does not support the Silverlight Plugin, so you won't be able to watch any of Sky's streaming service with it.

Of course you should be able to download the Sky Go Download Player and download any content to your computer, just not stream live content via the FF 64bit browser. Of course this means that you'll also need to have Sky Go Extra to use the SGDP which could cost you an extra 5 per month if you don't have Sky Multiscreen.

There are other plug ins that will also be affected. For more information, please check out the Mozilla blog: https://blog.mozilla.org/futurerelea...ows-available/

Re: Sky Go and Firefox 64bit

I think Sky will have to get rid of Silverlight fairly soon. By the end of next year most browsers, including Firefox will cease to support it. I hope someone has told them.
