      Sky Go's recent poor performance

      Hi folks,

      I was wondering if there are some known issues with Sky Go that have developed over last month or so? The reason I'm asking is because it has become pretty much unusable for me(constant buffernig) and I have no idea what might have caused this. BT Sport, Netflix, you name it - they all still work flawlessly yet no joy with Sky

      I used to praise sky streams as in almost 4 years of me using them there were only 3 or 4 times when I couldn't watch the game. Now I'd consider myself lucky If I get 5 minutes of uninterrupted streaming...

      If anyone could tell me what should I try to remedy this I'd be most grateful. If it helps: I'm watching through browser(Firefox but tried IE as well - same results), Win7 64, 75/21Mbit wired connection.

      I haven't seen any reports on the Sky forums about the service level.

      How are you connecting? WiFi of Ethernet?

      If seem to recall a few issues with some BT Routers reported as well. I don't know if this is related.

      I use Sky Go regularly and have no problems with it at all, on Android and iOS though, but know many who use it on a PC and are not having problems.
      But have noticed an increase of problems mentioned on the official sky community forum recently.
      I would suggest putting your comments in there, with some times/dates/programme information, so the team can investigate further.

      The streaming quality has been improved, through many recent streaming updates via Sky Go beta testing, of which I am a beta tester.

      There is an officially sanctioned stuttering problem workaround to look at;

      Cheers for the input guys.

      Scubbie - I'm connetcting through ethernet. Also, I've been on infinity for about 8 months now and the problem started about a month ago so I don't think its BT-Hub related

      lettice - thanks for the link, I shall test it tonight

      I just realized - my Sky Go "breaking down" started roughly at the same time that this annoying white bar appeared on the bottom of the player, almost completely blocking the buttons:

      Over the last month, I to, am experiencing significant buffering and Sky Sports is almost constantly running at 1 bar quality.

      I am connected to the Sky Router via Ethernet and all other web based activities are running smoothly.
