      thinking of canceling sky go Extra

      today i wanted to cancel sky go extra so i did just that via live chat which the sky adviser give me this link

      to my surprise i saw this page when i logged in

      needless to day i did not take the offer and cancelled then got an email to my sky email account confirming this

      please remove this post if i have violated any of sky or sky users terms by posting this info

      No problem and thanks for the heads up about the offer.

      Sky Go Extra won't be for everyone and at an extra 5 per month, it may not offer good value for money for those who don't watch Sky via their tablet, PC, Mac or mobile very often.

      It is free for those who have the MultiScreen package though.

      Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      just noticed this, Sky are now charging for downloading programs to play on the Sky Go desktop app ?? When did this happen, it used to be free.

      Sadly Sky Go Extra was launched early last year. You need this in order to download any content to a PC, tablet or smart phone. I think you may also need it to download to an Xbox too.

      Streaming live content to them is fine, so too is streaming OD content via your browser to a PC.

      Sky Go Extra costs 5 per month, but a free trial period is available.

      Sky Go Extra is free to anyone who has a MultiScreen subscription.

      In addition to the download ability, you can also add the Sky Go app/abilities to a total of 4 devices with Sky Go Extra, instead of the 2 device limit.
