Sky also block Sky Go on jailbroken iOS devices. The always have done, not that I'm against this as there's little reason to jailbreak an iOS device anyway.

Aye I'm reading the Forum but as you know that's all I can do, would I like to help out on you bet I would and it would take some pressure of Sky Staff but such is life.
Yes the stream quality has improved and hence the 4pm push out yesterday as we were all hands to the deck testing these new streams from early in morning lol.
Yes there are bugs going to crop up not seen on the beta and 1 or 2 have on SG Tab2 10.1 which popped up very early in the trial and was sorted or so we thought lol.
The 1 thing that has happened that is just plain crazy and we can't fathom out is that a lot of customers have been able to download, install and run the app on their TF101's, testers failed during the beta no matter what they tried so how it's working now well pass lol

There is a nice friendly forum where you can still contribute

I had been seeing those reports on the TF101s too. I guess sometimes things just happen that way.

As for a previously resolved issue, sometimes this happens. There are a variety of different reasons for it, but I won't speculate on them. Ultimately the developers will be on the case.

      Hello Geezer,

Have you taken a look at the post here: Sky Go - Advice for Rooted Devices - Sky Community

Basically a few tablets are giving this as a report due to how they have been set up.

If this doesn't work, please let us know.

There are apps on play store that will backup and remove root so u can use it then restore it again afterwards (or not if it doesnt matter to you) just search for hide root or something similar.

Re: Sky Go for Android Tablets

I think you will find that these 2 lines of code are your problem:--
      /system/xbin/su
      /system/bin/busybox

Your device has come with this active and therefore the app is telling you it's rooted when it's not. It's the Superuser binaries that are at fault and not a rooted device, this was seen during the beta and we asked Sky to look at their DRM permissions so this don't crop up as more and more customers buy devices with this active.
As Scubbie has posted you can follow how to stop these from blocking the app.

Re: Sky Go for Android Tablets

      Hi again
Ok I tried the link from, scubbie that did not work sky go still says only for non rooted devices.

Cannot find this file on my tablet "system/xbin/su", I can see this file "system/bin/busybox" but not sure what to do with it.

As you can see I am very inexperienced with this so unless the answer is simple I think I will leave it as is thanks for your help
