More channels available on Sky Go

Sky has increased the number of channels which you can now view live on Sky Go. They also added many of these to the On Demand & CUTV sections of Sky Go last week.

Depending on your contract it is now possible to stream up to 54 channels.

The new channels include Watch, Fox, Dave, Alibi and a few more.

The picture quality has also been improved, which owners of the tablets should notice.

You will need the Sky Go Extra service if you wish to access the On Demand and CUTV content. This is available for 5 per month or free if you have MultiScreen.

Perhaps I should also mention that the quality has also been improved for the PC/Laptop/Mac and Xbox as well as both Android and iOS devices.

With the removal of the "white list" a little whilse ago, this should mean that most Android Tablets now work well with Sky Go and that the picture quality is good.

From what I understand from another post, the improved picture quality may only be present if you have the HD pack.

      .

Just tried Sky sports F1 (on my pc desktop) and maybe its my wishful thinking but it does seem to be better than what I remember (though admittedly I haven't watched anything since the end of last season). It seems to move up a gear, image wise, when it jumps from 4 to 5 bars. This is using an account with a HD sub by the way.

Re: More channels available on Sky Go

Just noticed as well (but has it always been this way?) that some channels eg Sky News, Animal Planet, only have a possible 4 bars of streaming quality, whereas the Spotts channels (inc F1) have a possible 5. Maybe this extra bar has been added recently, and is why I'm 'seeing' the better quality.
