Sky Go, V's Sky Go EXTRA

Hi, I have 2 questions if I may..

      1) What is the difference between Sky Go, and Sky Go Extra?

2)I recently seen somewhere, That SkyGo (or SkyGo extra, not sure which) was free to all customers with a multi-room subscription.
Last week I logged onto my "MySky" account, and seen that SkyGo was switched off. I switched this on and my sky subscription price stayed the same, but with an additional "then after" cost (small fee can't remember how much, about 5ish).
Am I going be be charged for the service after 2 months, as I have just read under sky offers- SkyGo EXTRA free for 2 months? Remember, I am a multi-room subscriber.

      Thanks in advance..

Sky Go, V's Sky Go EXTRA

      Hi

      1) You can download with sky go extra and view things you have downloaded when you no longer have an internet connection. Also you can only have 2 registered devices with sky go but with sky go extra you can have 4 registered devices although only 2 of these 4 devices can use sky go at the same time to view live content or download content.

      2) Sky go should be free to all multiscreen customers but I would maybe speak to customer services to make sure you are not being billed the 5.

Re: Sky Go, V's Sky Go EXTRA

      Ok thanks for your reply.
My account says I was a Sky Go EXTRA subscriber.. so I just cancelled it.

      Then it tells me..
"But don't forget, as a Sky TV customer you can still enjoy all the benefits of Sky Go. Depending on your Sky TV subscription, you can watch live Sky Sports, Sky Movies and entertainment, wherever you are in the UK and Ireland on selected Android smartphones, iPhone, iPad, laptop or Xbox 360. "

So what about being a Multi-Room customer of which I am?

      - - - Updated - - -

Just to confuse things more.. I just read this on the sky offers page.
Notice the bit about Multi-screen. What can this mean?

Sky Go Extra 2 months free trial: Sky Go Extra available free for 2 months for new and existing Sky TV customers without Sky Multiscreen. After 2 months you will continue to receive Sky Go Extra at 5pm extra unless you call us to cancel at least 31 days before the end of the 2 month period. Offer ends 26 December 2013. Not available in conjunction with any other offer.

Sky Go, V's Sky Go EXTRA

Multiscreen is just the new name for multiroom they are just the same thing so you should be able to get sky go extra without having to pay the extra 5.

The offer sounds like it is saying non multiscreen customers will be billed after the 2 months free but as you mentioned you have multiroom/multiscreen then you would not be billed.

      Multi-room was renamed/rebranded as Multi-Screen last month.

Sky Go Extra is FREE to all MultiScreen customers.

The monthly bill will show BOTH a debit and credit in the name of Sky Go Extra to the value of 5.

Of course they may at some future date change this, but for the present time this is correct.

In your case you can safely forget the "Free trial" period as you have stated that you already have Sky MultiScreen (formerly known as Multi-room).

Sky Go, V's Sky Go EXTRA

The only reason I said "should" is that I work for Sky and have seen on many occasions people getting billed incorrectly for things due to an issue on their account.

No problem. This can easily be spotted by logging into your MySky account.

You should see what an accountant would call a "double entry" where there is a debit and credit of 5 for the Sky Go Extra.

The image below is what I took from my own 'My sky' page a little while back and shows this clearly:

(The blacked out bits are the billing period dates)
