      HD channels in the future?

Just wondering if anyone thinks its likely that Sky will eventually (or maybe already has plans to) stream some HD channels over their 'GO' service?. And with that in mind, what do you think the mininum connection speed would need to be.

We understand that this will happen.

We don't currently have any time-line for when Sky will launch the required updates.

I hope they sort all the problems out with Go before they try HD.

Re: HD channels in the future?

There have been a few rumours from different sources on this.

The staff on the Sky Forum do not confirm much until the product is actually ready, which is understandable. Too many products never make it to the customers in their original format and also the competition watch Sky closely.

As a guide, the BBC iPlayer recommends a minimum 3.5 MB connection to stream in HD. Whether or not the HD is higher than 720p though I don't know.
