Sky by Broadband
Hi there.
Is anyone else out there using Sky by Broadband?
I signed up for it recently and have downloaded a few films to watch, but the thing that concerns me is the invisible P2P software which is running in the background.
Is there any way of keeping an eye on what it's doing? I would be interested to see how much I'm uploading and what my share ratio is. I use other P2P software and understand the importance of keeping a 1:1 sharing ratio, but if I'm sharing 1:5 or something silly, I want to be able to limit it.
I've managed to find the background processes KHost.exe and KService.exe and routinely kill these when I start up because if I'm going to download two or three films a month, I don't want it running in the background all the time. Are there any other processes I need to kill or are these the only two?
Cheers,
Andrew

I agree with SatDish. I originally installed this but did read the T&cs so wasn't aware at first that it was a p2p service. As soon as I did it was promptly un-installed, it also seemed to slow my computers loading time for some reason.

I wonder if it slows the download down to you if you were to block the outgoing using a software firewall?
