      Sky Go Problem

I hope someone can help me here as I am not getting anywhere with Sky.
I have my iphone and a mac book registered as sky go devices and both have worked perfectly fine for months.
On 31st March I used the service on my mac on the morning for sky news and everything was fine.
I return on the evening and go to watch the news again on the mac. It lets me sign in to my sky go account and then starts to obtain the licence to view the content. At this point it states that it is unable to register this device as a sky go device, check my devices.
I go to check my devices and both my iphone and mac are there as being registered but just above this is a message in red stating that it is unable to register the mac as a sky go device. Conflicting information
I then spend the next hour with sky chat who didn't seem to know what they were doing and ended up just leaving it without solving the issue.
I deleted silverlight and reinstalled the latest version, several times, as this was what the sky rep thought the problem was.
I then deleted the mac from the my registered devices but it wouldn't let me re-register it stating I had registered my maximum devices for that month, WTF ??? I hadn't registered any different devices that month or for the last 6 months.
So I wait until the next morning 1st April and wahey everything is working fine again. I watch the news then head off to work.
Obviously a new month so sky go lets me register another device.
I return in the evening and go to watch the news and the same problem appears all over again on my mac. I think about deleting it in the my devices but sky go tells me i have registered my maximum devices for that month so in effect I would have to wait a whole month.
I spent another hour with sky the other night and got nowhere so the problem has been escalated and I am waiting for a call back.
My Iphone has no issues, only my mac.
I run "little snitch" and Sophos anti virus on the mac, but I have had these since before I started using sky go on the mac and sky go has been running perfectly until just recently.
I have recently moved home and it took sky almost a month to switch my phone and broadband over to my new house. Since then I have had these problems with sky go, maybe just a coincidence.
Anyone have any other ideas as to what may be causing this on the mac.

My apologies for the long winded thread.

      In anticipation.....

      Re: Sky Go Problem

After several calls and call backs from sky SKY have come to the conclusion that there is a problem with the latest mac OSX and the latest silverlight update. A known issue so I was told and that they are working on a fix. So for the time being I cannot watch sky go on my mac laptop.

      Re: Sky Go Problem

      Hi,
This is yet again a known and long outstanding fault, this started to pop up after an app upgrade back in dec 2011 and sky TS do know about but they are ignoring it. This bug is in the sky go app and has nothing to do with your mac os or silverlight, this is standard for sky to blame everything & anything but the app it's self.

      Re: Sky Go Problem

Whilst I do not know if this specific bug is being addressed, I am aware that Sky are doing a considerable amount of development on the Sky Go app at the moment.

      Scubbie,
Well to be honest they really do need to do a lot of work on sky go and sort out the many outstanding bugs once and for all.
