Stephen79 thank you for your comments I agree with you regarding the player is improved in terms of streaming but i think the channel layout could have been more user friendly.

Also the fact that two devices can stream at the same time is an improvement.

It is a shame that it is not possible to download on more than one device that would have been a real benefit to sky subscribers since there is demand for this from the whole family not just the one who is most tech minded and pays the bill.

Just for info slightly off topic I have tried an app for the iphone which allows me to view my laptop through wifi and away from home it also streams video it is called Splashtop works pretty well especially with downloaded content from Sky streaming has a lag but still very watchable.

Airvideo is also good but only for video files not for streamed content from pc to iphone.

Hope it is ok to mention those apps I am in no way connected with either company.

Yes Two Devices it seems that no one so far has said it's fine quite the opposite both here and on sky's official forum some very peeved subscribers out there.

I appreciate your frustration regarding this however there is a difference in the way Registered Devices are being handled by Sky Go.

With Sky Player you could have up to 4 devices registered however you could only stream Live TV content on the primary device which meant your other devices were restricted, you could only change which device was primary once every 30 days.

Sky Go allows you to watch Live TV and On Demand content on both devices at the same time and you'll be able to manage your registered devices to change these several times a month using the Sky Go website.

Hope this sheds more light on what is fast becoming a contentious issue please give as much feedback as poss the more folks who have a moan the more chance of swaying sky to change their approach regarding how many devices can be registered.

      thanks

      update!!

      1 Run sky go desktop
2 click pop out button drag to second monitor (if you have one)
      3 click pop out
4 press F11 for locked fullscreen while you use the primary monitor

there you go full screen player with out reverting to smaller screen.

one click and you have exactly what you had in sky player in terms of fullscreen.

please sticky this for other to see

Re: Sky's removing skyplayer from wmc 6th july

Unfortunately I'm a bit behind with this change. I managed to miss the first episode of Fringe season 4, and expected to find it on Sky Player. However, it appears Sky Go only show the current episode, and none of the old ones... or am I looking in the wrong place?

Unfortunately you are looking in the correct place.

Currently only episode 3 from series 4 is available in Sky Go.

I have also looked on Anytime+ and it isn't available there either.

The only reasonable suggestion that I can make at present is to download it via a torrent. All the current season is available out there to be downloaded in both SD & 720p formats.
