      Sky Player and Silverlight

Each time I want to use Sky player it tells me that Silverelight is not installed (it is and is latest version). If I try to install Silverlight I'm told that the required version is already installed. I have to uninstall it then reinstall it and its becoming a pain. Each time I reinstall it uses up one of the 4 PC registrations so I have to ring Sky to get them to reset it...

Anyone got any idea of why this is happening...?

Dell inspiron 530s, Windows 7, 4 gig memory twin 1TB HDDs.

I may have solved this, I repeat may, I use a tool called CCleaner to clean up my registry. I noticed yesterday that it has an option for cleaning up applications and MS Silverlight is in the list...I've taken it out of the list and have not had a problem the last twice I have used Sky Player...may have nothing to do with it but I've got my fingers crossed.

      Well done.

You may wish to download & install Advanced System Care. I find it better than CCleaner.

Try Advanced System Care then. Link in my previous post.

Good. They help to keep M$ Windows stable and running for much longer. ASC also helps to prevent known naughty websites from loading.

Thank you, but I am lucky in respect of where I live in relation to the telephone exchange. There are many other homes around where I live and I would expect them all to have similar speeds.

Other areas near where I am don't have Sky equipment in the local exchange, so not everyone can get the same speeds.
