As I pay the same fee as everyone else I should expect the same level of service. I don't, so does that qualify me for a discount I expect not. Information/media should be easily accessible to everyone without being tied down to propriety software and strict DRM limitations that limits access.

So how about a discount for restricted services?

Go whistle for it, SKY player is an additional paid service if your not paying for it then your not entitled to any discount for being unable to use it.
You choose to exclusively use Linux so really it is your own problem, the majority of users either use windows or dual boot.

You do not pay for sky player it is include with your tv subscription. Check this thread http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-p...customers.html

So am I paying for it then yes I am! Then I am entitled to a discount according to your statement.

As for using Linux yes that's my choice after all this is a free market economy. Ah but microsoft doesn't believe in that.

      Re: second class citizen!

It is NOT included in a standard TV subscription, it is a free **BONUS** if you have SKY's unlimited broadband or SKY Multiroom. If you were paying for a special sky player subscription I would agree with you that you are entitled to a refund but you arent.
You should know from using Linux that there are ways to get windows software working on it and if you dont then you probably shouldnt be using it. The majority of software is still windows based and it'll stay that way for the forseeable future.

Sky Player system requirements, updates and tech specs

There you go, minimum system requirements. Sky don't say they support Linux, so they don't have to give you jack. Always check the Minimum requirements, before making a complaint.

As you are a linux user, you must realise that not everything is supported. Linux is the minority OS, and whilst it would be nice if everyone wrote programs and supported it, its just not possible yet.

Surely you are used to this by now.
