Are you signing in to the player using the primary sky ID?

      Re: Iplayer subscription Message

It appears that even though I have a sky sports subscription..I have to have multi-room or broadband max to watch what I already pay to watch on my TV..... talk about farming accounts..its no credit to Sky...

Yes you do need to have either a multiroom or sky max broadband subscription. Up until last month I was in the same position as you but then I went multiroom with Sky +HD and now I can access the live channels via sky player.
