Can't log in to SkyPlayer with Windows Media Centre
Team,
Help required! I have posted this elsewhere but no-one seems to have an answer. I hope some guru here can help!!
I am using Windows 7 and WMC. All my internet connections work perfectly and SkyPlayer works OK as a standalone application. However, when I try to sign-in to my Sky account using WMC, after around 30 seconds I get a message stating that the internet connection has been lost and I should try to log in again!. I know the internet connection is OK via WMC as I can download the program schedules. I have spoken to Sky's tech support who say that this is a Microsoft problem and they cannot help.
I have uninstalled SkyPlayer and deleted Fastnet to make sure I have got rid of the beta (if it existed!) but the problem persists.
Desperate for guidance!! TIA

Re: Can't log in to SkyPlayer with Windows Media Centre
Having the same issue here has no one figured out a fix? Running windows 7 (clean install) Get the funky polo and about 20 - 30 seconds in it says that it has lost internet connection although i can run streaming media on a web page or spotify at the same time and they don't lose connection. Tried setting up the internet connection in mce and it connects no problem. Avoiding issues like this is why i clean installed rather than upgrading but it hasnt worked. Any help or fixes to try will be much appreciated
Cheers

Re: Can't log in to SkyPlayer with Windows Media Centre
Hi,
I'm having the same problem on two of my four Windows 7 PCs.
Whether related on not, the same two PCs that don't allow me to log in via Media Center also don't allow me to use the internet version of Sky Player via Internet Explorer 8, but work perfectly for the internet version on Firefox.
I have raised this with Sky telephone support, but the only answer I could get was to be told that if it worked in Firefox its not their problem.
Can the other posters here please let me know if they also have the IE8/Firefox issue the same as me, and any other strange issues (I also can't download Flash updates or Lexmark printer drivers vie IE8, but can on Firefox on the same two PCs that are giving me the login problem!!!)
Any help appreciated. I (we) will fix it eventually.
