Registered Computers Issues - Sky Player (Web)

Hi, I'm having some very nagging issues with Sky Player at the moment.

Even though I am using the same PC, Sky Player is adamant I'm on another computer. I watched the last test of the Ashes no problem, but when I tried to watch a film it said I needed to register the PC as the main computer, which I did.

However, I didn't get to finish the film, and since trying to log back in it says that I cannot register this PC as I have made changes to my registered computers.... but its the same PC?!?!

This is very frustrating, how do Sky identify individual computers? I am very annoyed with it now.

I've a similiar problem, the difference being I've had to re-install windows a few times on my laptop ( its reaching the end of its life ) and skyplayer has picked up these changes, and refuses to recognise my latop as the main registered computer, so I can't play or download any movies.

Can still watch live TV ( for the ashes though )

You could try creating a secondary account and logging in with that.

It doesn't fix the problem but it enabled me to watch cricket the other day.

Call sky player support, they can reset it from server side.

Re: Registered Computers Issues - Sky Player (Web)

so is the only way to fix this to call up sky and they should reset it.

ive been able to watch sky fine on my mac and my old pc since i joined them a couple of months ago.

but i got a new pc so i wanted to watch it on that, didn't realise about the 4 comp restriction. so i deleted the two old pc one (neither were the main computer). now i cant watch it on the new pc or the mac, saying that because i changed the registered devices to allow a new one, i cant watch it on anything????? absolutely retarded.

thats the image, is the sky cust service any good? i hate silverlight, its useless on the itv website, and i just consider it dodgy because microsoft make it, but that could just be me.
