      sky Player problems this morning/

Sky player is behaving like a pig this morning. Trying to watch the Ashes is next to useless with constant picture break-up and re-buffering. Also the Sky Player web page takes an age to open compared to non-Sky player websites.

      Is it worth contacting Sky?

      Thanks

Well, from here, it seemed that the SkyPlayer servers crashed at the climax of the Ashes, they were not pingable. As soon as the ashes were over, they came back up again. If this is what the much shouted about SkyPlayer is going to be like, I cannot see myself continuing to pay 41 per month!

Shocking. It was pixelating all day on Saturday, even on a 16meg broadband connection! Am lucky enough to be watching the Ashes on TV, but how sub standard is that from SKY....banging on for ages how you can watch the Ashes on the SKY player only for it to under perform.

      Very, very poor.

I have had picture break up for the last few days, along with my second computer, AND my main registered computer not being recognised, so the system is still very buggy, though things are better since Sky reset my computer slots to let me back in.

Could it have been that there were so many people using the service that it couldn't cope?

The BBC and SKY had issues with their respective players caused by a spike during The Ashes according to Broadband News, but come on! The Ashes is the biggest event in the International Cricket calendar, with a massive following, so they should expect much higher demand. I sincerely hope the 3rd Test will be unaffected!
