Re: Sky Player on the Xbox 360

      Hi,

I have searched around for this on all the forums and no one has asked it yet.

I already have sky player on my laptop and desktop. When I was looking at the registered devices it says that I can have 4 PC's and 1 Xbox connected.

Is there a reason for only having 1 xbox connected as I have 2. Or is it just that I can't use the premium channels like Sky1.

      Thanks

I would imagine they want to try not to interfere too much with people having multiroom.

It would be a shot in the foot if people stopped the multiroom subscription in favour of multiple x-box connections, expescially as these will be connected directly to TV's.

When sky is working again on xbox, on the pc goto your account and setting and use either these 2 codes to get 1 months free multiroom sub. To try out the live streaming.

      SKYXBOX1MTH (worked for me)
      or
      XBOX1MONTHFREE (didnt work for me)

So is this going to be Sky Connect all over again with too many people chasing not enough bandwidth?

Does anybody know if you need to be a gold subscriber as I am only silver at the moment.

Re: Sky Player on the Xbox 360

i already have a sky subscription and a broadband max package for 16Mbps (although i only recieve 8Mbps) does that mean i can use sky player for free? just wondering because all sorts of reports have been flying around some say free to all some say you need a sky sub some say free for multiroom etc.

i just want to be sure before i start seeing extra random charges on my bill.

You need an XBL Gold subscription.

The pricing & content is the same as Sky Player for PC:

If you subscribe to Sky, you get on-demand content from your package.

If you subscribe to Sky, *and* also have Multiroom or Sky BB Max (Sky BB Unlimited), then you also get Live TV.

Re: Sky Player on the Xbox 360

I downloaded a big update which I assume is the Sky one, no Sky blade is appearing as yet,

Has it been turned off or do I need to go and activate it somehow?

Re: Sky Player on the Xbox 360

It's still not out yet. The only people currently able to use it are those who downloaded the app yesterday morning before it got pulled.

The update released today adds WPA2 support for the official wireless adapter.
