      Sky Anytime now for anyone

Upcoming changes to the Sky Anytime on PC service will include opening it up to non-Sky subscribers.

Non-subscribers will be able to download episodes to own for a one-off fee of 2 for premium rate TV shows such as Lost and Weeds from Sky One and 1 for non-premium shows. Sports clips from Sky Sports will cost 5 a month but films from Sky Movies will initially not be included.

Programming on the service will also be expanded to include documentaries from third party channels such as National Geographic, History Channel and The Biography Channel.

Other developments include compatibility with Windows Vista and a new web browser-based interface allowing for easier navigation and searching for programmes. The ability to use the service without having to log on will make it possible to trigger downloading to a home PC from a remote location over the internet.

Wotsat understands the updates are in their final testing stage but expect more details and a launch date soon.
