Re: Installing Sky Anytime on Windows Vista

Hey guys, I have been running sky anytime on my vista pc up until now thanks to this thread...there has been an update to sky anytime and I find it no longer works

anyway, recently I have been prompted to update to Microsoft .net framework 1.1 service pack 1 by vista, I have tried to update but it fails...this is an important update right?

is there a new fix for sky anytime which can get me running it again?

It now supports Vista out of the box I believe.

Go to MySky and re-download it ...

Re: Installing Sky Anytime on Windows Vista

      Hi Furry Potato,

i've been trying this on vista for a while now, back when we were extracting .msi files.

when loading the .net framwork 2 i get an error saying
"verify you have sufficient privilages to start system services"

when i skip this stage and run skyanytime setup (modified)as admin. i get an internal error and am forced to finish.

i just seem to run into errors every time i try..

      thanks
      jerry

Re: Installing Sky Anytime on Windows Vista

      hi potato,

i been trying this for a while, back when we were extracting and changing .msi files.

i've tried the new method but no luck.
when instaling .net framework 2 , i get error message saying verify you have sufficient privilages to start system services.

i've tried skipping the .net framework step but get an error and am forced to exit setup. i am running the modified setup program as admin.

do i need to load .net 2. if so how?

      thanks
      jerry

Follow these steps to install it and get it working :-

PLEASE READ FULL THREAD BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS

      1. Download our modified anytime.exe from here

      3. Install both of the .NET updates
      4. Go to here and click on 'Update' to update your pc's DRM (Digital Rights Managment). You will need to use Internet Explorer for this , not firefox.

Hi. Thanks for a brilliant hack. It's been working perfectly until Sky forced me to download an "update" - now I can't get it to run any more. Is there any way around this please? Cheers

      Hi,
followed the instructions on screen but can't seem to download and run the service pack 1.1 or skyanytime. The computer is suggesting we run service pack 4 to allow this to work properly. Could you please send a link to alan.halsall@sky.com to find a net framework service pack 4.
