all that happens is when you go to movie, choose movie you want to watch click on play and a screen comes up saying connecting then says ready so press play again and nothing just a black screen but it does not access mp11 from vista it seems to be trying to use it,s own version

Re: sky anytime requires that your computer is running windows xp

What an excellent forum this is.

Thanks to this (and no thanks whatsoever to Sky customer services) I've finally managed to log into the portal (by resetting the pw to the original one given by sky) and set up additional accounts which I can now access send and receive through POP/SMTP emails.

I am nowhere near being a techie. I have Vista, I would like Sky Anytime, haven't yet selected 'add service' through mysky and would really appreciate a step by step complete idiot guide (including appropriate tea breaks ) to getting this on my laptop with all the tips/fixes on this thread.

      Many thanks.

By the way one tip for all Vista users - Windows mail is utterly useless and incapable of being relied on. Microsoft have a new beta called Windows Live Mail . I now have this as my main mail and use it to centrally send/receive 5 sky, 2 yahoo and a couple of hotmail accounts. I found it by accident trawling the net on Windows Mail problems and it is fantastic.

      - (apols for not adding a link but I'm sure it's easily searchable)

Re: sky anytime requires that your computer is running windows xp

Installed Anytime following the instructions posted in this thread and everything went fine (thanks very much btw).

I have been running Anytime on Vista with no problems...

However when I tried to open up the program today it would not start (I get the message "There was a problem opening Sky Antime.")...

Is anyone else now having this problem or is it just something I have done to my Vista machine???

Re: sky anytime requires that your computer is running windows xp

Sorry, I've now read this thread a few times and I'm very confused.

Is the solution to getting this working on Vista as simple as running FurryPotatoes exe file or is this only part of what I need to be doing ?

      Thanks
