      Outlook Error, maybe router related

      Hi,

      I am getting the following error when trying to send mail using outlook,

      An unknown error has occurred. Account: '********@ntlworld.com', Server: 'smtp.ntlworld.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '421 aamtaout01-winn.ispmail.ntl.com connection refused from [90.196.3.131]', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 421, Error Number: 0x800CCC67

      It's the same with my other email accounts that are set up through Outlook, was fine before I had sky bb set up this week.

      From what I've read it could have something to do with the ports but I'm unsure how to solve it, any help would be appreciated.

      Try changing them to

      smtp.sky.com

      pop.sky.com

      http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/view.php?pg=outlook

      This isn't for my sky email address though, it's the existing accounts I have NTL, my websites etc.

      If you are on Sky, I cannot see NTL allowing you to use their smtp server, as it would be classed as an open relay server.

      Try changing just the smtp value and see if it works?

      Sorry to bump an old thread but I am getting this same problem. Did you manage to fix this problem as I too would like to send/receive emails from my ntlworld account, even though im using sky broadband and sky netgear router.

      Did you change the smtp value? If so what did you change it too?
