Help - Sky / Yahoo mail down three days now
For the past three days I cannot access my primary email account. I was with Sky and they then passed all their users to Yahoo 6 years ago I think? I have an imap connection via the Apple mail app on my 10.12.6 system. When the imap route fails I connect via the internet connection, but presently this too fails, suggesting a server outage. Yahoo have had problems the past week, but report all well today, but not so, my end, its still saying ‘offline’ and the control panel, will not accept changes (I wanted to re-enter the password and alter the smtp/imap addresses and ports but they remain the same, even though I save them)?
Other messages are 'Unable to verify Account name or password' via the imap connection or 'Sorry we did not recognise either your user name or password' via the web mail
Sorry to be a nuisance any help at 74 years of age would be appreciated.

If you look at the "Sky.com email" thread in this forum you'll see that a lot of people have had the same problem and offer a solution. It is likely that Sky have reset your password and you will have to change it before you can use Sky email again. If you gave Sky an alternative email recovery address when you set up your account, you may find an email from them telling you how to proceed.
