      Unwanted download of old email

Anyone else got a problem with Sky Yahoo email suddenly marking 30,000+ old emails as unread so my Outlook is downloading them all again? 1.57Gb of unwanted emails which are showing in my Inbox as read are downloading as we speak. Any idea of how to stop them?

Log into the Webmail, select a batch of unread mails, click More and select Mark as read, then delete. Do this as often as you need till your list is clear.

I am having problems with Gmail not allowing Yahoo to sign in, something about low security. I collect my Gmail and Hotmail through Yahoo. This has just started.

Yes, thank you, I had come to the same conclusion. You can actually keep scrolling down and delete between 2 & 3,000 at a time so it didn't take too long to get rid of them with Outlook not running.

I also use Gmail as well as Yahoo but the other way around. My Gmail account collects my Yahoo mail so I can access it from my Android mobile when I need to. Haven't has any problems as yet!!

Re: Unwanted download of old email

It seems Gmail and Hotmail do not trust Yahoo. This what I received-

      Hi Tom,
Someone just tried to sign in to your Google Account tomthebooler@gmail.com from an app that doesn't meet modern security standards.
      Details:
      Saturday, 20 August 2016 15:35 (GMT)
We strongly recommend that you use a secure app, like Gmail, to access your account. All apps made by Google meet these security standards. Using a less secure app, on the other hand, could leave your account vulnerable

I have not had a notice from Hotmail, but it is also refusing the Yahoo sign in.
