      Getting Sick of Sky Email!

It might be time for me to ditch Sky email! At least 2 or 3 times a week my iPad and iPhone randomly ask me to re-enter my email password, when I do it takes me to a Yahoo webpage to enter the password and I get an email straight back saying your account has been accessed on a new device, it hasn't it's the same device I have been using for years!
2 weeks ago my account was locked by Yahoo completely for no apparent reason, I called Sky and they managed to get my access back again but no explanation as to why it was locked out! I have the same issue again tonight but every time I try to enter the password the password box disappears!!! I can still get to my email on the sky.com site.

I still can't believe so many people still use Sky Yahoo email when there are much betters providers out there. I use Gmail and never had any issues with it.

I know, I know, I know! It's just that my email address is nice and simple and so many people have it now, including utility company's, work, insurance company's, banks etc etc it's just I pain in the butt changing everything over. My Mum missed her house insurance renewal because the company sent the renewal to a disused email address. I have managed to get it going again by setting it up as IMAP instead of POP on the iPad, although apparently Yahoo don't support IMAP, so I don't know what's going on, it always used to work so something has changed!

Re: Getting Sick of Sky Email!

Sky-Yahoo email does have an option to forward all mail, doing so would allow you to open a GMail or other account. All I would suggest is that from time to time you log into the Yahoo webmail and clear out the inbox. Another option is to have your own domain, using a provider such as one.com, that way you can also create an easy to remember address(es).

Never try to send me mail from a Yahoo account though, my spam filters block yahoo addresses.

Re: Getting Sick of Sky Email!

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but.....................................
How the hell do I delete/terminate/get rid of or otherwise lose/destroy sky yahoo mail account? Somebody please help because it's driving me totally nuts!!
I opened a gmail account after becoming utterly fed up with hacking and spam etc on my sky mail account. For a short period of time I forwarded sky mail to my new gmail account ( which is brilliant) for a sort of 'hand over' period. The only spam I ever get is forwarded from the sky mail account. Over eight months ago now I removed the facility to forward but............... I'm STILL getting forwarded spam (Playstation password reset notices, I want sex with you and all manner of trash). I have been trying to research how I terminate the account but I'm getting absolutely nowhere and nothing I've been advised via multiple sources found on Google have worked.

So PLEEEEEEEEEZE if anybody knows of a working method to totally destroy my sky yahoo email b***ard account I would be extremely grateful. Have searched the forum here and, whilst I fail to believe this question hasn't been asked before, I can't find reference to this dilemma. Hence the resurrection of this thread.

      PLEASE HELP ME

You could always change the forwarding address to a non existing account, or perhaps to Sky support.

Unfortunately there is a "Verify" button so the account has to exist and I have to have access to that account to do the verification. But in any event I turned off mail forwarding months ago and the W**ker thing is still forwarding spam to my gmail account

OK, so create a junk account on yahoo that you'll never use and forward it to that...

That's doable but that seems unlikely to stop me receiving them at gmail given forwarding has been turned off for months now. I suspect it will simply forward to both addresses. Worth a try however I would still like to totally destroy the yahoo account as it stays associated to my Sky ID
