Client e mail endlessley asking for password
Last couple of days Outlook endlessly asking for password and often failing to download e mails. No changes my end. Anyone else getting this?

Had a few Authorization failures with fetchmail but they usually resolve themselves at second or third attempt.
It does only appear to be Sky (Yahoo). Google has been rock solid.

There were some reported problems with Sky Yahoo email today so it is probably tied into that. The best thing you could do is to dump Sky Yahoo and set yourself up an email account at somewhere like Gmail or Outlook.com both of which are much better providers who very rarely suffer from the number of issues that Yahoo does.

Thanks - it came back late afternoon. I will have to think about using someone else as Sky is getting worse and worse

Sky's email service has deteriorated since they moved to Yahoo, probably because it was cheaper. Gmail give a much better service.

Hello All
I am afraid that Sky's email service has declined since the handover to yahoo & I have
more problems every week but Isitme is quite right its all down to cost !! Sky lower the quality of its service & increase the price !! double win for them.
I have a Gmail account & have never had any problems so go with Alan b advice ( google mail) you will not regret it !!
I think you now read many posts that seem to suggest that Skys overall service is in decline while increasing prices : this may well kick them into action although I somehow doubt they will change ............Just a Thoughthave a great weekend

Yep crappy free email service. They claimed at the time it was because google didn't allow them to personalise the email service (the adverts?) In the way that yahoo would allow.
You can just set gmail to sync with the sky email to avoid these errors but I get them at least once a day too.Please note the views and recommendations in my posts are my own and in no way reflect the views of Sky
