Additional Sky email

Not sure if I'm being a bit thick here or what...! I'd like an additional email address linked to my Sky account.

So I've got my primary id and would like to add another..

Its asks for a non-sky email address..why?

I only have my sky email address which I use for all my email.

Does this mean I have to go to something like Hotmail and create an email address just so I can use it to create an additional Sky mail account....

I must be misunderstanding this somehow but can't figure it out.

Help please.

Oh dear.

I ditched sky email ages ago at the time of the switch to yahoo & really hoped they'd sorted this out by now.
They say it's for security reasons.
