Delay in receiving some emails
I am receiving some emails several hours later than they were sent. Happened a couple of times yesterday. Other emails were coming and going fine with no delay.
I am using several devices to view emails, so the problem is not specific to a device. I noticed this with web based mail so it is not to do with an email client.
Does anyone know why this might be happening?
If I look at "View Full Header" for one of the delayed emails, then it shows me how long between the person sending, and me receiving.

A friend recently asked me why I hadn't replied to email, so I am wondering if some emails are not coming through at all.

My sky.com accounts appear to be all right at this time. I've just sent an email from a Yahoo account to each of my Sky.com accounts and they came through pretty instantly.
How are you trying to retrieve your emails? (i.e. client, browser) If you are using a client, could you let us know which one please?
Also, which service is your friend using and how are they being sent?

Thanks for replying. I retrieve my emails using a web browser (Chrome) and also iphone and kindle.
It's just one or two emails affected, not all of them.
The ones I received on time were yahoo or sky, or various other company domain names.
The ones that got delayed by 12 hours or more were one from a demon.co.uk address and another which was a company domain. It doesn't seem to make any sense to me.

In this case I wonder if someone else on the forum can comment about any of their emails from demon?
I suspect that this issue could be there.
