      tried it all it does not recognise my name so if it dont recognise my name then i cant set up profile , it just took me three hours to get on the net

      I have had the same issue ever since switching to Sky on March 3rd. I tried logging in from my work PC and got exactly the same result. I have been in and out of sky.com and skybroadband.com changing passwords dozens of times but it has never cured the problem. BUT, what I have discovered is that if I enter my login id followed by my current password then click <Enter>, wait a few seconds then reposition the cursor in the password box at the end of the 'dots', type any alphanumeric character followed by <Enter> it logs me in instantly. This works for me every time from various PCs. I emailed Sky with this info and they admitted they were having a lot of problems with webmail and said never mind at least you have found a way round the problem! Try this it may just help some of you.

      I haven't been able to log into the portal since joining sky. Every machine I tried seemed to get stuck after typing in my password, but this solved it straight away!!

      dosent work for me - is it limited to sky ip's only?

      i got my main e-mail account thats all i wanted the stuff in teh protal will jsut have to be missed

      you can not get an email address when the system does not recognize who you are to open the bloody thing, i gave up months ago trying to sign in so why bother now ,ive tried again and it still dont recognize who i am,i use user name and password and it still dont work i spent that much time on the phone and sky still cant fix it i can send mail but i cant recieve the bloody crap,all you keep on getting is ring sky you spend ages on the phone at an astranomicle rate no wonder why when you join its so cheap it the amount it costs you ringing up all the time

      madman..i have just joined the forum...and boy am i glad i did ....sky didnt help me in any way with the portal...i take my hat off to you ..all sky had to offer was 10 compensation on a viewing ..thank you again for some sound advice...m.o.s

      Looks like they got wise to your workaround madman ... they seem to have "helpfully" put redirects up, which just result in the same page timeouts!
