SKy eMail and Sky iD?!?! (ex O2 broadband customer)
OK - my broadband has just been migrated across from O2, and Sky's email is getting me thoroughly confused.
I set up a new Sky iD, and entered my personal details, specifying my old o2 email address initially (because it wanted a value of SOME sort). Then I created a Yahoo! email account. Checked it was working. All OK so far.
THEN I went back to the personal details to update them with the Sky email account... ...and it won't let me. Apparently, I can't specify a Sky email account there, for "security reasons"(!)
What gives? Is there another Sky email system I'm supposed to use as well? Or do Sky assume that everyone will have at least one account with a different provider as well? Or what?
Any enlightenment gratefully received!

"Sorry".
The 'security reasons' they mention are to do with having an alternative, in case the sky one is compromised.
They can then send a reset password request to the back up one.
Yes, it makes little sense to me neither.
