Sky Email - Rejecting username and password

I hope this could only happen to me. I have been trying to login for a couple of months now with no luck, and i have now found the problem. In my password what i thought was a lower case L should have been an upper case i. Outlook express works great and i can send emails using my domain name, I hope this might help someone who has been as stupid as me !!!! Best Regards, Nickpark.

I think I have read on here that some people have been getting their Os muddled up with their 0s and vice versa so if it makes you feel any better I don't think you are the only one.

      Cheers mate

All I can say is thanks for this post, its been doing my head in for weeks, maybe I should have phoned sky and checked my password but after reading other posts I thought I was just wasting my time and would just wait for sky to sort it out.I've just re-typed my password and changed what I thought looked like a zero with a capital O and lo and behold i've got 31 unread messages. Thanks again Nickpark.
      Chris.

I don't think this is the end of the story though. My login and password work fine when used by Outlook Express to pull emails off the SKY POP server but can I get into the portal........Nah?!!

Well I was able to download via Outlook Express as soon as I'd setup the e-mail accounts but trying to log in to the portal for the last few weeks just refreshed the login screen. UNTIL YESTERDAY. Sky must have fixed something because I can now log into the portal

When I was activted I found that i could collect my sky email through outlook but I couldnt log in to the portal (my passowrd was the one given in the letter from sky). I also have a sky.com account. The user name is the same as my sky portal one but the password was different. I logged into the sky.com and changed the password to the same as the letter from sky for my email and lo and behold I was able to log into the sky broadband portal. It seems as if there was some sort of conflict with the passwords. If anyone is having problems and has both accounts this may be the answer you have been looking for. Di.
