      wen it turn on the wireless connection it takes an age to find an ip address and then advises that i have limited or no conectivity. at present I am using the ethernet cable provided and i am sitting under the staires on the floor, it would be great to get it working again. I have searched for this problems and tried all of the tips given but to no avail. when we were first activated it worked for a week and abit then our whole internet sytem crashed and died it took two weeks for sky to get us back on line and I had to maually configure the ip address for the local network.

      Good, go to QuickLinks on the top menu bar and select FlashChat from the drop down menu.

      Hi Ian

      Just to let you know I tried you suggestion and no luck so called you free phone no and you was right straight through and proble resolved now wireless again one of my settings was wrong on the wireless it was on wep and not wpa-psk. Just to let you all know I asked about the portal problem again and they say they hope to have resolved in approx 1 1/2 weeks watch this space. it is all to do with our users not connecting properly through all of their settings.

      I will try that, but my situation is even more comp - before activation I was sent 5 different passwords, plus I too already had a sky.com login (for Broadband by PC). So I'm not sure which long-winded password to change my sky.com p/word to!

      Microsoft Outlook Settings

      I don't know if this is of any help. I was trying to get my e-mails through outlook and set them POP.SKY.COM & SMTP.SKY.COM but they weren't coming through.
      I was using a wireless network adaptor and changed back to using my Ethernet cable and hey presto all my e-mails came through. It also doubled my BB speed.

      Hi Caz, I don't know if you have finally resolved the issue, but I'm getting the exact same problem, I tried your experiment sending myself an email but from a different account and got the same result, the email was returned saying that the account did not exist.

      I was wondering if you had solved this.

      Hi there,

      No still cannot get into my Sky Email account, still try every now and again from another Email account and still get a message back stating that I am an invalid user, I have now set up an Msn Email address which was free and this works fine. Sky just keep telling me that they are aware of the issue and are working around the clock to repair the problem but I have been hearing this from them for nearly 2 months!!!

      My advise is just to keep trying every few days one day it may just work. Sorry I can not be of nay help at the moment I will post a new message once up and running on Email.
