vbkurutza - do you have a sky.com account and is the username the same as your sky BB portal account. If so try changing the sky.com account password to the same as your sky BB portal account. This is how I got in. Good luck. Di.

@ Wolvo girl, that is how I got in as well. Why they don't explain this clearly I'll never know.

Any one having the problem should go into mcafee security center then click on privacy service, manage user account then add www.sky.com to the allowed cookies list.
At first,I was able to log in then suddenly i was having same problem
and even though i forgot my password or something beacause i changed it only to discover it was because of the mcafee privacy settings. Now i have no problem logging in.Adding www.sky.com to allowed cookies list should solve the problem.
thats if ur password and username are correct but cant log in.Last edited by segzie; 29-10-06 at 09:31 PM.

After finally it seems, getting a stable and reliable service, I turned my attentions to the Portal and setting up e-mails a few weeks ago.
No luck with gaining access with the provided codes given, so I requested a new password 3 weeks ago.
One week passed - nothing had arrived, so on Sunday I got through again and I am glad to say a letter arrrived today.
My password is ******** (No kidding)
Seems the system does not want SKY operatives or ME ! to know what it is.
And before you ask, yes I tried 8 asterisks just in case it was
You have to laugh!
Regards,
Ian.

I am still unable to gain access to my email inbox and i've been trying now since 27th September. I have managed to set my husband as a new profile and his email worked perfectly (hows that for a kick in the teeth) so I tried to allocate a new password on my own profile and guess what it still does not work. My husband sent an email to my sky.com email address and he received a message back stating that I am an invalid user seems to be the key to this portal mess, if anyone out there nows how to fix this please let me know as I have some emails that I do need to retrieve and I cannot even through outlook, as this keeps asking for my user name (obviously as it does not recognise me as a valid user).

JUST GOT THROUGH ON THE FREEPHONE NUMBER
0800 051 2595
Took less than a minute to answer.
Option 1 - Broadband
Option 4 - Technical Support
Actually spoke to someone in this country.
Another 3 days to wait now for an ammended password.
Let's see what happens. I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to.
One point of interest: After being told myUser name was in CAPS, the lady assured me it should be entered in lower case.
ONLY THE PASSWORD IS IN CAPS - so if you are struggling yourselves - try it!
Still laughing

Thanks for the free phone number I kept that one in my log book that I am keeping with all of the info that I have received so far to try and mend all of the problems that I have been experiencing, just in case they happen again, this number will save me hours of waiting and talking to people as I have clocked up over 300 mins of calls to Sky technical support. I called them on saturday asking for a level 3 to call me about the portal problem and my wireless problem as my whole system crashed and they have been helping me get back up and running just these last two probs to sort.
