      I managed to set up my main email address o.k. in OUTLOOK 2003, and it "Sent and Received" fine.
      When I tried to add the other email addresses that I had previously created before the changeover, I kept getting the box asking for a PASSWORD.

      I am now up and running with all 5 email addresses (wife & kids). All I did to resolve the problem was.

      From the new sky email portal login as the email account that you are trying to set up.
      Click on mail settings.
      Click on forwarding and pop
      ensure enable pop is checked
      save settings
      re enter details into OUTLOOK 2003

      It worked for me.

      Well here we go again.

      Good old sky.. When i got the email last week saying it was changing to google I though to myself this would all go **** up. Sure enough it has.. Been 2 days now trying to get my outlook 2007 setup.. keep getting the dreaded password box up

      Any way phoned sky and I got the muppet sat at the keyboard reading back what it told him (not his fault by any means).. Any way comes to it NO EMAIL TIL Saturday (called 17.54 8/11/07)

      I spend 70 a month with these people for my sky HD/Package and Web.
      I find as long as its all working, its fine.. once you get a problem there just aint such a thing as TECHNICAL support.

      I suppose im the muppet for using them.. Roll on 2009.. Cables coming and I get a choice.

      I presume you have tried both the Capcha trick and making sure that Outlook 2007 is fully up to date?

      Like many I can't get into my email.

      Last night I went on and changed my password, it let me log in to Sky Tools but not into the Google mail part to change my settings.

      So I decided to try again today and it wouldn't accept the password I changed it to last night. So I decided to change the password again, which it seems to accept, and then won't let me go in on the new password.

      I've tried that Google link to unblock your account but it tells me I have the wrong password.

      In a word...help!

      My mrs was in exactly the same position as some of those above. My email account worked fine , my wife's email account only worked through the Sky web site tools section and would NOT work through Outlook. This was the situation for 2 days.

      All I can say is well done Shakka (and many thanks). I have no idea what that "UnlockCaptcha" is all about, but I DO know that 5 seconds after using it my wife's email account suddenly sprung into life through Outlook.

      Apparently it can no longer find my username as it won't now allow me to change my password like it would earlier! o_O

      Have you tried the "forgot password " link? I had a mare last night because I followed Skys advice to reset password, trouble is because it didn't work I ended up changing it about 6 times but what I didn't realise is that the changes were taking a while to filter through to the google pop server!! I got in a right mess everytime I logged on today the email wanted a different password I am hoping it has now settled down on the last password I entered!! I spent about 5 hours last night trying to get the poxy thing to work!!

      Hi there,

      I am unable to login to the portal and therefore transfer my email account to gmail. This has always been the case, however a techi at sky managed to work around it so I can access my email via outlook.

      I can't remember my password, but in any event it doesn't recognise my username, I have tried upper and lower case. If I do the forgotton username promt and enter my details it says "your username could not be found."

      Any help much appreciated as Sky have just said oh yes this is a known problem we are working on and try again in a few days, it has been like this for over a year!

      Very weird I tried the captcha link above, and it wouldn't recognise my password, so I thought I'll try my old password and that worked ??

      I then tried outlook express and that accepted my old password and seems to work fine now...but the portal works with my new password ?
